Toyota teases mysterious car, hinting at a new Camry GR concept for 2025

In a surprising and intriguing teaser, Toyota has offered a glimpse of a car that appears to be a part of the GR (Gazoo Racing) division.

While it is reminiscent of the Toyota Prius, it doesn’t match up with the mirrors or fender lines of the Prius. As a result, it’s speculated that the teaser provides a sneak peek of the 2025 Camry, which Toyota has chosen to present as a GR concept.

Toyota has provided minimal information about this mysterious car, accompanied by the caption “A New Dawn is Coming” and a question: “Can you guess what’s on the horizon?” While details remain scarce, it’s worth noting that the SEMA show and the LA Auto Show are approaching, making them ideal venues for Toyota to unveil an important vehicle. The 2025 Camry, which will be based on an updated version of the TNGA-K platform, is expected to retain its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain while potentially discontinuing the 3.5-liter V6 engine in favor of a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four. The ninth-generation Camry is slated to hit the market in the fall of 2024.
