Husqvarna’s Norden 901 travel bike is back for 2024 with subtle enhancements, maintaining its distinctive style and capabilities.

Husqvarna is set to launch the 2024 Norden 901, offering a few updates and technological refinements while retaining its core design and performance features. The motorcycle continues to be powered by the LC8c engine, nestled in a steel trellis frame and equipped with WP Apex components. However, the 2024 model receives new color schemes and a range of rider aids and convenience enhancements.

In terms of aesthetics, the 2024 Norden 901 showcases fresh gray and yellow graphics to accentuate its neo-retro-rally appearance, with a characteristic round headlight leading the way. Underneath the updated bodywork, the motorcycle retains its dependable 889cc parallel-twin engine, derived from the KTM 890 Adventure. The KTM platform is evident, including the lightweight steel trellis frame, adjustable WP Apex suspension, and Bosch cornering ABS, along with features like the power assist/slipper clutch and three standard selectable ride modes. This combination ensures the Norden 901’s adaptability and comfort in various terrains, making it a cohesive option for adventure-touring.

One notable revision for 2024 is the updated Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) system, which now provides ten levels of wheel slip adjustment when in Explorer mode. This adjustment not only covers traction control but also throttle response, enhancing the motorcycle’s performance in different conditions. Additional convenience-oriented updates include the addition of a new USB port on the left side of the dashboard and hazard lights for emergency situations.

While the official MSRP for the 2024 Norden 901 is yet to be released, Husqvarna will also reintroduce the Norden 901 Expedition, a more accessorized version, as part of its Travel series for 2024. The 2023 models were priced at $14,449 and $15,799, respectively. Both Norden variants are expected to be available at dealerships during the winter season, though availability may vary by region.
