The 2024 Smart #1 Brabus, a collaboration between Brabus and Smart, has been unveiled at the International Electric Mobility Showcase 2023 in Kuala Lumpur.

This hotted-up version features a distinctive two-tone color scheme, combining a matte grey body with a Laser Red roof and black accents. The visual differences between the Brabus edition and the standard Smart #1 are subtle, including a body kit with front air curtains, additional intakes above the grille, a deeper rear bumper, and a discreet roof spoiler.

The #1 Brabus is equipped with 19-inch two-tone silver and black wheels and 235/45R19 Dunlop Sportmaxx tires with red brake calipers. It features a powertrain with two electric motors, one on each axle, making it all-wheel drive and producing 422 hp and 543 Nm of torque. The model accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 110 mph.

The vehicle is equipped with a 66 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 400 km (248 miles) on the WLTP cycle. It can be charged at a rate of up to 150 kW. The Smart #1 Brabus marks an era of performance for the brand and is distinguished by a combination of power and subtlety.

The cabin features quality interior materials and Alcantara-covered seats and steering wheel rim. However, the overall interior design remains similar to the base model.

The Smart #1 Brabus offers a sleeper-like approach to performance, and while it doesn’t have the flamboyance of some of Brabus’ other creations, it aims to deliver a thrilling driving experience with its enhanced drivetrain.
