The New Hyper HT Joins GAC Aion’s ‘Hyper’ Range of Electric Vehicles

GAC Aion has officially launched its latest electric vehicle, the Hyper HT SUV, just a week after leaked images surfaced online. The Hyper HT joins GAC Aion’s ‘Hyper’ range alongside the Hyper GT and the Hyper SSR. The entry-level variant utilizes a 400-volt architecture and features a rear electric motor with 241 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. While these figures may not be groundbreaking, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.8 seconds and boasts a remarkable range of 373 miles on the Chinese test cycle. With a 10-minute charge, it can gain an additional 87 miles of range.

Three other versions of the Hyper HT are available, equipped with an advanced 800-volt system and the same 335 hp electric motor. These models accelerate to 62 mph in 5.8 seconds and offer impressive ranges of 416 miles and rapid charging capabilities that can add 258 miles of range in just 15 minutes. The flagship model, featuring LiDAR sensors, offers an extended range of 479 miles and can gain 280 miles with a 10-minute charge.

The Hyper HT’s exterior design is subtle, with clean headlights, small air curtains, and distinctive gullwing doors inspired by the Tesla Model X in the second row. Inside, the cabin boasts a stylish flat-bottom steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, a large central infotainment display, wireless charging pads, and a floating center console. Passengers in the rear can enjoy adjustable seats, a footrest, and ample legroom. The vehicle also features a full panoramic glass roof.

Pricing details for the Hyper HT have not been released yet, but its impressive range and innovative features make it a promising addition to the electric SUV market.
