This off-road-ready 1975 Ford F-250 features extensive modifications, including a Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine.

The “Wheelie,” a custom 1975 Ford F-250, is set to be auctioned at the Mecum Auctions event in Las Vegas on November 11, 2023. This vintage Ford pickup, originally a factory crew cab, short-bed model, is far from stock and comes with an impressive list of modifications.

Under the hood, the “Wheelie” packs a P-pump 24-valve Cummins turbo diesel engine, making it a unique build for those who appreciate non-traditional engine swaps. The engine is mated to an NV5600 6-speed manual transmission with a Southbend twin-disc clutch. Additional engine upgrades include a Hamilton 188/220 cam, upgraded head gasket, fire rings, Killer Dowel upgrade, 103-pound valve springs, a DPS turbo kit with a 64 mm turbo, ARP studs, and a P-7100 Street Pump.

The truck also features a Keating Machine billet tappet cover and valve cover, Crazy Carl’s tunnel ram, Fleece Performance coolant bypass kit, FASS Titanium Series fuel pump, Pacbrakes inline-mount 4-inch PRXB exhaust brake kit, and an MBRP 4-inch exhaust. Off-road and performance enhancements include ARB air compressors, PTO coolers on the transmission cover, a Fluidampr, NP241DHD transfer case, Dana axles, ARB lockers, Warn hubs, lower truss kit, knuckle gussets, traction bars, and 4.10 gears.

The frame has been reinforced, featuring 2001 F-350 Snow Package front leaf springs and 2020 F-450 Platinum rear leaf springs with a conversion spring carrier kit. On the exterior, the “Wheelie” retains its vintage F-250 appearance with some custom additions such as the grille, Smittybilt 12,000-pound winch-equipped bumpers, and Decepticon logos.

The truck rides on Fuel off-road wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires and includes towing-related upgrades like a SuperTruss rear hitch and a B&W gooseneck hitch. The “Wheelie” also boasts accessories such as a Horn Blasters outlaw train horn and Rigid LED E-Series Midnight Edition lights for improved nighttime visibility.

Inside, the truck offers a blend of modern comfort and functionality, featuring 2008 F-150 seats and a Vintage Air climate control unit, while retaining a traditional 1970s aesthetic. This extensively modified F-250 is an off-road-ready and unique vehicle that will be available to the highest bidder at auction.
